Together We Are Stronger.

The motto of Atos Jiu-Jitsu is "Together We Are Stronger." The Atos team has greatly influenced the way people across the world define and practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  Atos Jiu Jitsu has revolutionized how BJJ athletes drill and train Jiu Jitsu as well as evolving and innovating many positions such as 50/50 guard, leg drag, berimbolo and worm guard.  Atos was founded by Professor Andre Galvao and Professor Ramon Lemos.  It began as a small team that included our Professors Rafael and Guilherme Mendes, as well as many other Jiu Jitsu standouts such as Bruno Frazatto, Guto Campos, Claudio Calasans, Gilbert Burns, Rodrigo Caporal, Davi Ramos and Ary Farias.  Through their success, athletes from across the world have sought out the Atos Jiu-Jitsu style making it one of the most successful teams at the highest level of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Competition.  While its origins began in Brazil, the headquarters is now in San Diego, California. The team now has many more stars such as Keenan Cornelius, JT Torres, Mateus Rodrigues, Tainan Dalpra, Johnatha Alves, Michael Liera Jr,  Evan Esaki and many more!   Here at Atos Jiu Jitsu Hamilton we directly follow the leadership of Professors Rafael and Guilherme Mendes and maintain a strong relationship with their academy, the Art of Jiu Jitsu, in Costa Mesa, California.

The Atos Jiu Jitsu Team was formed in 2008 by Professor Andre Galvao and Professor Ramon Lemos.  As one of the smallest teams in the sport, Atos has influenced the way the world practices and defines modern jiu-jitsu. Atos Jiu-Jitsu is linked to the evolution of the 50/50 guard, leg drag, and berimbolo. Atos has quickly become one of the most dominant competition teams in the World.  Atos Jiu Jitsu has won the World Championship team title for the past two years (2017 and 2018). The original Atos team included names of Black Belt World Champions such as, Prof. Andre Galvao and Prof. Ramon Lemos, Rafa and Gui Mendes, Bruno Frazatto, Guto Campos, Claudio Calasans, Gilbert Burns, Rodrigo Caporal, Ary Frias, and Davi Ramos.

Multi-time World Champion Professors Rafael and Guilherme Mendes are the backbone of the program at Atos Jiu Jitsu Hamilton.  The Mendes Brothers run a state-of-the-art facility in California (Art of Jiu Jitsu). Their academy has had a major impact in the design and structure of BJJ academies all across the world.
